Lockdown Day 576 - 23 October 2021

Fantasy. After many many years, I have resumed my fascination with the wedding dress programme Say Yes to the Dress. This series has been running for eons and I've always wondered what it is about this that makes me want to watch more.

I suppose it has partly to do with the "gauging" people part of my work. Why people do things definitely is interesting. But I realised the real reason is the Fantasy  factor.  Maybe it's a girl thing too.

Wedding dresses have been known to invoke all kinds of emotions. To me it's the enigma of wearing a romantic dress, a sort of out-of-body, out-of-comfort-zone experience. It's like putting on a brand or design of clothing you would never  ever  be seen in.

In today's world fantasy exercises can do the world of good. If you don't have a forest to go walk in, try stretching your comfort zone and wear something you have never thought to wear (going somewhere in it is of course the ultimate stretch😅).

Creating a space for a little craziness can energise and inspire. It creates a paradigm shift in the moment, feeding your happy hormone stash in excess.

Doing something out of the box is actually consistent with God's character. You need only read the account of Noah in the Book of Genesis. It is riddled with out the box experiences. That's the God I know and that's why I know He's got this.
