Lockdown 562

Lockdown Day 562 - 9 October 2021
We took Roxy to the Busstop7 Market early this morning for a name tag, and ended up browsing all the artisan stalls and tasty treats on offer. Roxy was on her best behaviour, letting out an occasional signature Schnauzie growl-howl  to greet all the friendly humans.
The rest of the day was spent between washing Roxy's toys and our own things, prepping for a painter who was expected late afternoon to seal a leak in the bathroom.
My Bestie and I met at the golf course's little restaurant for a much awaited rendezvous and spent the afternoon under the trees catching up on what's happening in both our lives.
For the first time since arriving here, I felt home again. "Living" in two places at the same time definitely conquers the human comfort zone. This made me think of our lives on earth as children of God. In a sense we are also living in two places at the same time, because we are part of eternity the moment we accept Jesus into our lives.
We need to live rooted in God's Word, that's where our "comfort zone" should be. Billy Graham once said,  “My home is in heaven. I’m just passing through this world.”
So tonight I offer up a prayer of thanks toward my Saviour for reminding me where my roots need to be. And thank You Lord that You've got this.
