Lockdown Day 571 - 18 October 2021
Apologies for yesterday's late post. We traveled back to PE early this morning. The flight was challenging with turbulence most of the way, causing the pilot to send everyone to their seats just as the attendants were getting ready to serve water (which I was só looking forward to). So we landed an hour and 45 later with parched lips and full bladders (yes, the toilets were also out of bounds).
After getting up around 4am and motoring without a stop to board the flight, the approach to landing more than made up for everything, giving us wonderful views of the city, its coastline and harbour.
While cleaning house, I mused over the girl friends I could see in Pretoria amidst everyone's busy schedule. I also mused over those I could not see whose love and phone calls warmed my heart.
I once read women keep each other's secrets, boost one another's wavering confidence and are co-conspirators in the adventures in their lives.
Through laughing and crying and a river of talk, they keep each other well, also making one another better.
To all of you, this is what you are to me, every word descriptive of our relationship. Especially the river of talk. You all keep me well and make me better. So tonight I put all of you in God's hand. Know that He's got you.
#God'sgotthis.
