But what got me were the last words of this testimony: " None of this would've happened if I didn't start in here (hand on heart)." Healing definitely begings with sanctification of the heart.
Today I spent a couple of hours with a young man who has the purest heart for a 27 year old. He is severely ADHD with severe loss of hearing (causing people to misunderstand his speech), low muscle tone (affecting his hands the most) since birth. Recently, anxiety and depression also entered his life as a result of the pandemic.
But because his heart is pure, He has only one Truth residing in his midst. The Truth who is God Himself, central to everything he stands for. He is so true to God, that the possibility that people could hurt him never crossed his mind.
Until now. A professional occupational therapist claiming to assist people like him to train for and get a suitable job, shattered his pure heart by doubting his matric qualification and ablility to be able to capture data on a computer.
Not only did he pass his matric at a registered institution, he has also had some training in data capturing basics and is since training himself in a variety of computer skills.
His heart was broken by someone who should have known better. After weeks of excruciating and insomniac nights, serious self doubt and extreme anxiety about his future, he shares with me the goodness of God prevailed and He resumed His trust in the God of Truth.
The One who knows every fibre of his being. He tells of allowing God to sanctify his heart again.
I left, convinced he will heal and blessed by this simple lesson of the faith and trust of a pure heart. God's definitely got this young man and every other young man who knows God and going through the pits. And He's definitely got this.
