Lockdown 99

Lockdown Day 99 - 3 July 2020
Today I salute the small business owner of South Africa. These guys are tenacious. And awe inspiring. And I will try and draw from what I see and hear to inspire me to also be tenacious and awe inspiring to others.

I received a quote of Jim Rohn this morning I would like to share. He says, "The greatest gift you can give to somebody is your own personal development.
I used to say, 'If you will take care of me, I will take care of you.'
Now I say, 'I will take care of me for you, if you will take care of you for me.'

What a quote, and how true it is. It starts with simple little things like getting up, making your bed, getting dressed and starting off with praising God for the ability to do these little things. In time, you will be able to look yourself in the eye and believe anything can happen if you look after yourself. This is what a small business owner told me today, even though all the odds were against him when lockdown started.

He said he did all the right things but never looked after himself. When things started to go down, he looked in the mirror and saw what a physical mess he was. He decided to clean himself up and make his bed, hang up his towel and go to work. He says these little things that proved he cares about himself first, ignited a fire in his spirit, a will to survive against all odds.

If you are struggling, do what Jesus did, zoom in to one little thing at a time. Then do it for yourself. And for Him. And then zoom into the next little thing and add it to the previous one. And do it for you and for Him. Before you know it, you have done it.

So, let's try and take care of ourselves for God first. And surely the rest will follow, for He is where tenacious is from and He gives inspiration in the most awesome manner. Say out loud," God is good, all the time." And then," All the time, God is good!"
Then watch how He shows you He's got you. And how He's got this.
