Lockdown 102

Lockdown Day 102 - 6 July 2020
Monday. With the 'everyday counts' mantra in mind, I still need to say Mondays are different. For many reasons. Traditionally this is the first day of the work week in our country. Today was also the first Monday after the 100 day mark. For me, it is cleaning day. For some, it marks the beginning of something. For others it is a glance back to last week's happenings.
Whatever your relationship with Mondays, every Monday has a unique flavour. According to Urban Dictionary, where people add their own interpretation of Monday, you can find interesting comments. But by far the most common thing said about Mondays is it is the most hated day of the week. I decided to do a little research, and found these interesting facts:

Monday is the best day to buy a car, because people feel they get more time and attention of the salesman and therefore a better deal.
In the US (maybe other countries too) the stock market will statistically rise more than fall.
In 2012 and 2018, there were 53 Mondays in a year. This occurrence won’t happen again until 2024.
According to a study done by Marmite, people will only smile after 11:16am on Mondays. 😳
Surprisingly, Mondays are the least rainy day of the week; researchers believe it is due to the decrease in man-made pollution over the weekend.
Monday is the only day that is an anagram for a single word, the word being ‘dynamo.’

I love the word dynamo. It has two meanings; an electricity generator and an extremely energetic person. Now those are the words I'd use for a Monday. To generate power and be extremely energetic. What a way to tackle every Monday. This way, good old Monday will make it's existence count.
If you are starting a new health regime, Monday can be the generator of energy. If you want to reinvent yourself or your job/business, Monday could kick start that too. This way, we honour a day made by God, and since He is the generator of all energy He will honour us in return by blessing us with the regeneration of energy.

Yes, God's got this. And He's got Mondays too.
