Lockdown 97

Lockdown Day 97 - 1 July 2020
You are your worst enemy ánd best ally/partner. The reason I say this is because our thoughts ultimately determine where we go.
Take for instance a simple task such as looking for a specific brand of breakfast cereal. Throughout Lockdown we have been looking for Cocopops' Crunchers edition. We searched in all the chain stores, big and small, but to no avail. Either the Free State doesn't have them or they're out of stock.

Now I know this is just a box of cereal, but for the purpose of the exercise, imagine this blonde throwing a tantrum about this, declaring that my breakfasts will from now on be horrible without Coco-pops' Crunchers. Truth is, what you think will become truth.
On a humorous note, if you keep on thinking that broccoli is desert, you might wake up to a new world (ha funny ha). On a serious note, if you keep on thinking you are a failure, you will become one, thus your own worst enemy.

This is a law of nature and God's innate design for man. This is where you are your own  most powerful ally or partner. By acknowledging your design and speaking blessing over yourself, you nourish your spirit with the Word. In doing so, you become a healthy super strong warrior in His kingdom, who, in spite of human error, can triumph over everything!

So ultimately it is my decision whether I let the Crunchers go and do yoghurt, and choose to see myself as a healthy warrior who can also do eggs for breakfast ..... or not. But keeping in mind my thoughts have a split personality : enemy or partner. Only I can choose. God can only act on His Word if I choose to speak it over myself, therefore letting Him into my spirit.

So tonight I choose to start anew every morning, editing my 70 000 thoughts (!) per day as I go. I choose to discard the enemy and embrace the partnership. Because He promises if I choose life, He will back me. Because He has proven He's got this.
