Lockdown Day 261 - 12 December 2020
While the first desert dash riders arrive, hubby and I went to the venue for a one on one with God for the blessing of the land and the venue. Thereafter it was hair and makeup, pics and prep for the boys and girls, all the while feeling the undertone of excitement and anticipation of things like the bride's dress, the ceremony and much more.
Suddenly I was dressed, waiting for the shuttle pick-up to the venue. Seeing Charmiane and Cor here too was just heart-warming. Everyone was dressed to the nines with bling and twinkling eyes. Ready for the blessing that was to follow.
The crispy white props against the sun coming in to set over the shiny deep blue water, the rush and roar of the waves from the receding high tide made for a sensory explosion second to none.
And then I felt the presence of the Spirit move in. It perfected any and all negative vibes, happenings and issues, flooding this amazing spot on the earth with the calm, strong and unmistakable wonder of God's presence. As Tommy concluded the vows and ring ceremony, the bridal couple walked through a shower of anointed confetti, completing the covering of God over their marriage.
With the sun shrouding the venue in sunset hues, the formalities got underway with toasts all around. My emotions ran haywire with all the accolades. Lukas toasted us as the parents of the groom and I saw in his eyes the heartfelt deep seated honesty towards us. Oh, how our hearts just grew for our children in that moment and for the heavenly grace that was awarded us by the most high God in raising them as best we could. I don't have words to describe what it really meant deep inside my being to hear these words from Lukas.
Back at Alna and Ian's house we retired, debriefing the wedding and feeling blessed. I felt like the woman of Proverbs 31:28, "Her children shall rise up and call her blessed; Her husband too, and he praises her".
