Lockdown 249

Lockdown Day 249 - 30 November 2020
Moving day 7:
Cloudy day 2.

This is the second move day morning we wake up with cool, cloudy weather. To me this signifies blessing. The colour of a cloudy day holds all my favourites. Indigo, charcoal, silver-white, blue-grey. It does not put me in a depro but rather a reverent awe of Almighty God.

For us, in this week it was definitely a sign of His presence and providence, protection and guidance, and above all that extra portion (of energy for us) Isaiah talks about.

The only way this seemingly chaotic space around me is going to get done is if I keep on keeping on. But, you know, sometimes one just needs to stop. I heard a wonderful story about a violinist who played on the street and how people would just be too hurried to stop for a few minutes. Maybe 5 minutes can reset your brain and maybe 5 minutes can bring a new perspective. 5 Minutes can change your body's inner mantra if you decide to stop.

This is why I decided to, on my shopping errands, stop for a 30minute break with "The Core" just around the corner from my house, and what a difference it made. Thanks girls, it was a stroke of genius!

After that I embarked on the search for mother-of-the-groom (motg) dress. Waking up because of it is not my style. Wearing conventional isn't either. Gone are the days of blending in. As my Bestie put it, go all out for you, because that is who you are.

So the only place I could handle was Big Blue, and at first, although their clothes are botastic (used to describe more daring, boho chic, bohemian and fantastic) I didn't see anything motg. Then I saw it, and just knew. With only one in my size, a try-on session and brainstorming with my Bestie and Sandra later I decided to take it.

With a storm on the way, I retired with the following scipture in my mind, knowing He is right here beside us.

Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys.
Exodus 40:36
