Lockdown 225

Lockdown Day 225 - 6 November 2020

Part of moving to another town is the saying goodbye coffees and dinners with all our closest people. Today I spoke with a couple of friends who wanted to confrirm the dates for a visit in the next 3 weeks. I believe this is also part of relocating and strengthening the bonds that have become strong over time. 

Because we have done this quite a number of times, we have learnt that most of these friendships stand the test of time and, although we don't communicate every day, when we see each other again, we just pick up where we left off. 

So tonight one of our new friends visited us and we enjoyed a wonderful summer evening in the green room together, musing over life in general and moments in time that are etched into our memory. 

I believe God sends people over each other's life paths for a reason. N, you reminded me tonight of a song titled Friends with one phrase I will remember always: Friends are friends forever when the Lord's the Lord of them..... 

How true is this. This is why we know we'll always stay in contact through Him, the author and perfector of our faith.
