Lockdown 141

Lockdown Day 141 - 14 August 2020

Today is day 141 of Lockdown. This means a full 140 days have passed. 140 Days from today is 1 January 2021. 🎉

I remember when my boys were in primary school, one of the fund raisers was 'Christmas in July', in order to make winter feel festive in spite of the exam season. Well, I think we should start a new trend. How does New Years' in August sound? 

Yes, I know we are in lockdown, and we can't have a normal party and be out on the streets. But we can be festive wherever we are. We can dress up and dance, we can put up some lights and bling and we can celebrate life. We can celebrate our survival and we can stamp out the virus with loud, foot-stomping and hand-clapping praise music!! 

So tonight, let's toast our closest loved ones, good friendship, positive vibes and a bright future. Let's look forward to better times, family gatherings and warm hugs. 

Let's be thankful for a million little things, such as the Word of God, food and shelter, sight and hearing, touch and taste, smelling the rain and every sip of water. Make even the simplest pasta a mini festival and keep on walking to the beat of the rhythm of heaven. 

And never forget Who gave it all to us. Every night the milky ways dance it out like a fireworks show, bringing honour and glory to our Omniscient Creator who's got this! 

Psalm 119:140 says, "All Your promises glow with fire; that’s why I’m a lover of Your Word."
