Lockdown Day 731-27 March 2022
I would like to start this 'year' with enormous gratitude.
According to numerous studies about the health benefits of actively practicing gratitude, it can:
✨Improve sleep quality
✨Improve regulation of emotions
✨Create a positive mood and happy feelings
✨Encourage hope for the future
✨Reduce PTSD symptoms, stress and burnout
✨Increase resilience (meaning: toughness and the capacity to recover from difficulties)
I was completely dumbstruck when I saw these benefits. And a question popped into my mind, " if gratitude is this👆 good for us, why on earth is it so difficult to be (and keep on being) thankful and why on earth don't we practice gratitude actively?"
I shall consider this a while and continue with this in the next post.
