Lockdown Day 401 - 1 May 2021
Try something you wouldn't normally try.
All these coined phrases and "buzz-words" have one thing in common: paradigm. In other words perspective.
You can do a number of things to broaden your horizons and develop your perspective. Apart from quiet time with God, there are a myriad of free courses on the internet or consider an art class close to you.
You can do little things such as parking in a different spot each time you visit your regular digs or change up your off day routine and go somewhere you wouldn't normally go, like a flower show.
Then there's the adrenalin junkie activities you always see on TV and never even give them a second thought. So why not google those in your area, pick one and take a walk on the wild side.
Thinking outside your own comfort zone doesn't come easy for us humans, but I do think our lockdown experiences have helped take down the fences and walls we put up around us.
No amount of thinking can make up for that moment when you gain understanding and experience through stepping out and walking a different road. It stretches the imagination and makes you see life differently.
Hats off to averyone who have done something out of their 'box', here's to all of you!
Jesus also stepped outside that box when He healed a blind man on the Sabbath in an unconventional way. He is the ultimate perspective changer, which is why spending time with Him is already radical.
