Lockdown Day 400 - 30 April 2021
It started out with a 4am thunder storm after which I was wide awake. So I got up and dressed warmly, deciding to have some quiet time in the kitchen. Winter has arrived, and the rain ushered in the cold weather I have been waiting for.
I decided to bake our new lockdown fave, the "squishy muffin", using cream to zhuzh (Webster dictionary: pronounced zoosh) things up.
My favourite winter foods are these muffins, slow cooker shanks or butter chicken, butternut soup, slow roasted sweet potato and folding my hands around a hot cuppa anything.
So to celebrate winter, I would like to share this video with delicious slow cooker ideas with you to kick start your taste buds and hopefully add a little zest to your winter menu❄️. For those abroad, save it for those rainy spring days! 🤩
After sharing Friday gin, steak and chips with Charline, I dug in for the night, offering up a prayer of thanks for the change of seasons, holding promise of rest and restoration.
