Lockdown Day 773-8 May 2022
Mother's Day started out disastrously. I woke up with a migraine steadily increasing to the point of nausea. But, I had to get up. After ginger tea and a pain killer, I went for a walk in the 12°C fresh morning air.
I just motored ahead with the packing, feeling very sorry for myself. After another couple came to view the house, I sat down with a mild cuppa and less than half an hour later, I felt the headache was almost gone.
I got an inmense amount of work done. Lukas surprised me (of course on behalf of hubby and my eldest) with flowers and my favourite milkshake. He made me his famous and absolutely delicious scrambled egg on toast with avocado and chives.
Although it was overcast and cold outside, the sunshine was back in my day. I kept packing, getting a lot done. Dinner was pizza at the Townhouse, where we also hung the last curtains and organised the linen.
Back home, I burned the hours well into the night, finishing literally everything for the PE haul. What an amazing feeling to have a full 24 hour advantage for last minute things before the truck arrives.
