Lockdown 766

Lockdown Day 766-1 May 2022
Move number 1. Day 2.
Worker's Day started a little slower and we got started something past 9 am with the men loading garage tools and loading all the little things.

In between everything else, I had to hang up washing and make sure all the kitchen amenities were also loaded for the townhouse.

With all the moving stunts I got to think about how we live and move and have our being. Aside from building a life and in the process accumulating things in different stages of our lives, whether it is pertaining to work or family, we need to be mindful of how we live.

A question arose immediately: how minimalistic do we live and why is it important? I believe personal and sentimental effects do count. But they should never override ease of living. If you spend too much time organising or "dodging" clutter you can't enjoy, it has consumed your ease of living.

So if you have things limiting you living life to the full, those things need to go. So tomorrow I am finishing off the townhouse move by starting with exactly that.

So tonight I am thankful for the mundane things that actually do make a difference. A bed, hot water and food, warm clothes. For God providing us every day with His presence and a list of things I didn't even ask for. Such as my children and my man, a faithful pooch with a wagging tail, the list is endless.

As the Southern Cross moves across the night sky, and into my vision through the little roof window, I silently offer up a prayer of praise for my God in heaven whose faithfulness is beyond all imagination. Because He really has got this.
