Lockdown 736

Lockdown Day 736-1 April 2022
Friday. While Europe is gripped in the last icy snow conditions before spring, Bloem is feeling the first of cooler temperatures after all night rains.

I woke up in the night, thanking the Lord for the rain. And thanking Him for a full Kouga dam in the Eastern Cape. I fall asleep still believing God for the Bay and Langkloof to have weeks and weeks of precious dam-filling rain!!

We leave Bloem around midday with a long haul ahead. The green Karoo is breathtaking and all around the clouds paint beautiful scenes.
After hiding from hail in Colesberg and driving through more rain later, Seattle's Chai in Colesberg and a KarooBrew Flat white in Cradock make for renewed energy along the way.

We reach our place at 20h00 after picking up the pooch, do a quick unpack and retire for the early day we have ahead tomorrow. I fall asleep after thanking God for His protection and provision on our trip.
