Lockdown Day 645- 31 December 2021
Tonight is New Year's eve. Our morning was spent in the slightly warmer 14°C water diving between the bamboo dancing in the swells.
At one point I stopped and swiveled a full 360 degrees to look at the mountain and the sea, taking a mind-panorama for my memory bank.
After a long shower I sat in the sun with warm clothes untill I was fully defrosted.
We met our Hermanus friends from all over for drinks and eats on the rocks at "our" rock between Langbaai and Voƫlklip just before sunset as we have been doing for the past two decades(except for 2020).
As the sun was getting ready to set behind a cloud bank, we said goodbye to the daylight hours of 2021. The sky was filled with magnificent clouds strewn over the horizon and to me signified God's presence going into 2022.
