Lockdown Day 337 - 26 February 2021
With a weekend away ahead of us, we left the city after lunch on our way to the surrounds of Thabazimbi, just north of Pretoria. We withered to storms on the way, but enjoyed the green vegetation of an otherwise dry and hot climate.
After entering our friends' farm, we saw a couple of Gemsbuck and were surprised at the lush vegetation after a good rainy season. Once at the house the beautiful sunset drew us in, causing us to pause and breathe.
We settled in for a lovely evening, had dinner while the rain pattered on the verandah, catching up on the months of our lives that has passed since we saw each other mid 2020.
We burned the midnight oil and went to bed with the cool night air wafting into our room. Before falling asleep I mused over friendships that stand the test of time. Friendships that enrich the heart and feeds the soul, knowing the Author of my life has got this.
