Lockdown 327

Lockdown Day 327 - 16 February 2021
Today started out at a cool 18 degrees which made our 5km walk enjoyable. Our estate has gone to the trouble of labeling all indigenous trees. So every walk we try to identify trees, enjoying this learning curve thoroughly.
Some of these trees are huge and provide perfect lookouts for birds. It made me wonder about having a bird's eye view and what it would feel like to be able to fly.

So tonight I muse over the therapeutic value of "flying", albeit in an armchair on the back of an eagle on screen. I found an amazing video that does just that, transporting the viewer to incredible views and night landscapes.

The feeling of complete freedom is compelling and addictive. But at the same time it ultimately has a calming effect.
It is just short of 17 minutes and can induce sleep if you let it. You can also watch a couple of minutes at a time when you need down time and resume watching when needed.

So here it is. Enjoy this bit of lockdown freedom:
