Lockdown Day 316 - 5 February 2021

Acceptance of what this abominable virus has brought into this life proves to be an almost insurmountable challenge to most of us. I wonder if we are just supposed to ignore all the inner conflict and just push forward with whatever rings our bell or provides stability in these uncertain times?

I believe the answer lies within the many colours of truth. The three main truths are own truth, other truths and God as the Truth. And then every conceivable colour in-between. Each of us live according to certain truths, which, tied in with our beliefs, cause everything to make sense. 

When living life without God as the Truth, it's up to us to give life meaning. The current state the world finds itself in proves mankind has no capability whatsoever to give life sense.

The one thing all governments of the world thought they could do, was live well without God, seeking and legitimising their own truths. But now that everyone is on the same page, truth suddenly has become the issue. Or should I say the lack thereof. And without truth, the meaning of life flies out the back door, survival mode kicks in and suddenly everything goes. 

So, yesterday, in my all-things-lockdown-bad-day, God came to remind me He is the Truth. Not only did Jesus declare He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, but He kept on explaining this over and over in different forms throughout the New Testament:

"For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives." John 8:32

"But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won’t speak on his own, but only what he hears from the Father, and he will reveal prophetically to you what is to come." John 16:13

“Your Word is truth!" John 17:17a

"You draw near to those who call out to you,

listening closely, especially when their hearts are true." Psalm145:18

"Always be eager to present yourself before God as a perfect and mature minister, without shame, as one who correctly explains the Word of Truth." 2Timothy 2:15

So, if we submit own truth and other truths to the TRUTH,  we give the control back to God.  In doing so we open up the storehouse of heaven from which we can access all His colours of Truth, providing endless and matchless sense to life no government can ever do.

The challenge will still be there to start living in a world where a spiritual state of emergency has occurred. The virus (and others to follow) will still be around. But the playing field will be God's. 

Truth is, He's got this. He's really got this.
