Lockdown Day 541 - 18 September 2021

Yesterday I also had the opportunity to try out the most amazing handmade chocolate truffles at Death by Coffee Roastery. The truffles are made in Hogsback by the Chocolate Shop.

Coffee and proper chocolate. Now that is a marriage made in heaven. Not only is it the perfect mood-enhancer, it is just that aaaahhh moment you get with the first whiff and smooth taste.

With proper chocolate, I mean dark and tempered. The bean in the chocolate meets the bean  in the coffee and creates a synergy worth the experience.

Our weekend kicked off with a wonderful sleepover visit in Addo at our friends Neels and Juanita who masterfully crafted a lamb roast over the fire. We drove back home through the Elephant park, seeing the most wildlife to date. The day ended with André and Riëtte coming over for dinner, enjoying the warmth of a fire on our little stoep.

Feeling blessed and tired, I drift off with the wind brushing over the windows, silently thanking God for His countless blessings.
