Lockdown Day 799-3 June 2022
Friday. With my diary in God's hands, I leave home early for Roxy's parlour appointment ('cause every pooch needs a parlour after being ill) and meet an inspiring new friend for coffee.
Looking at Nicola, hair shaven off, telling me how wonderful she's feeling and how little time she wastes worrying about the cancer, she inspires me with these words, "I don't focus on my life and glance at God, I focus on God and glance at my life."
She brought joy into my spirit, we shared profoundly and laughed at silly jokes and about taking life too seriously. As we part, the words "laughter is God's medicine" fills my spirit.
Later, I give the unpacking a rest and decide to enjoy the semi-final of the French open while posting a late blog after yesterday's hard day.
While Rafa is sweating it out on the red clay of Roland Garros, hubby arrives and we enjoy a windless evening on the porch watching a couple of lamb chops grill in the braai.
I thank God planting His joy in us and I pray He will keep activating it through His community of believers.
