Lockdown Day 467 - 6 July 2021
Watching the Tour de France feels like traveling the best possible way apart from being there in person. The cycling is very tense but exciting. The videography is absolutely fantastic.
These guys have all the technology to bring us 360 degrees of the countryside, town and interesting travelers' info which keeps me glued. I feel like a caveman, completely pulled into the screen, literally feeling as if I am there myself.
Inspiration comes in many forms, of which feel good exercises such as encounters with nature, other creative people's art, and of course. fabulous videography such as the Tour de France.
You may ask, " Why do I need to be inspired, when I have a job /school work/ studies, etc.?" It is because inspiration opens up new possibilities, which locks in motivation. In life, inspiration happens intrinsically (from the inside) and once there, nothing from the outside can stop it.
So, if you find yourself in a blah space, feeling the loss of focus, drive and energy, doing the same old mechanically each day, don't try and motivate yourself.
Your brain will be like, " Are you kidding me?" Motivation (external) is activated by inspiration (internal). Inspiration facilitates the following psychological resources: Mastering your work, creativity, optimism and raising belief of your abilities, faith, optimism and ultimately self-esteem. WOW.
What an investment in your betterment! So, let's be inspired, let's inspire those around us. Let's make the world a better place one little injection of inspiration at a time. Maybe this is the "vaccine" we really need to protect us against the downward spiral of an 'infodemically' infested pandemic.
I for one, know God would love to see us use His Word, His presence and His creation to become inspired. For out of Him flows all the inspiration we need to motivate us to keep on keeping on and find the beauty within the same old every day.
God's got you. And God's got this.
